The Cemetery Association
Introduction
Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel Cemetery Association cemeteries are operated for the benefit of BEKI members and their families, and of the general Jewish community. The Cemetery Association is independently incorporated and operated, insuring perpetual maintenance and care of its cemeteries. The Cemetery Association owns and operates the Beth El Memorial Park on Warner Street in Hamden, CT, and the Keser Israel Memorial Park on Farwell Street in West Haven, CT. Both cemeteries were rated "acceptable" by the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven Cemetery Survey of 2005 with respect to care and maintenance.
The cemeteries are under the religious jurisdication of the rabbi of Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel. Only the natural remains of Jewish persons as defined by Jewish law may be buried in the cemeteries, and all preparation and burials are performed in accordance with Jewish law.
Plots are moderately priced and available to synagogue members and non-members. Purchase price includes perpetual care of the plot and cemetery grounds.
