BEKI Kadima & USY

Kadima logoUSY logo  Kadima and United Synagogue Youth (USY) are youth groups that empower Jewish middle-schoolers and high-schoolers to plan and participate in educational, religious, community service, and social events.  BEKI Kadima & USY is an inclusive youth group open to all Jewish youth, regardless of synagogue affiliation.  Kadima & USY events are planned at the local (Southern Connecticut), regional (Connecticut & Western Massachusetts), and national level.

 So far this year…

Kadima has:

Helped with High Holiday preparations

Reached out to other Kadima chatpers in affected by Hurricane Matthew

Made Homemade Ice Cream (in individual plastic baggies!)

Participated in Regional Fun at Sports Center  of CT.

Made 173 Thanksgiving pies which were sold to raise money for Tzedakh. 62 pies were donated to Jewish Family Service Food Pantry!

Zipped, Climbed and Jumped on the World’s largest indoor ropes course – that “It” in New Haven, CT!

Made Candles and homemade Latkes (including chocolate chip!) and Soufganiyot!

Celebrated Tu B’Shvat at a collective home hosted Shabbat.

USY has participated in Fall, and Winter Regional Conventions.

Where:   Emmanuel Synagogue, West Hartford, Connecticut
Cost:   $49
Register at by March 27 (choose Kadima Kallah option)
Open to Grades 6-8.
Carpool/Subsidy Available.
