Memorial for Shula Chernoff

Shulamith “Shula” Chernoff, a beloved BEKI member who died last spring, will be remembered at a memorial celebration on Sunday, July 31 at noon at BEKI. Her children invite the community to attend. Included in the program will be time for anyone who would like to a share a memory of Shula.

Lunch will follow. If you plan to stay for the luncheon, please email deborahchernoff@att.net by Friday, July 15 so that she knows how much food to order.

After a lifetime of teaching and mentoring early childhood educators at SCSU, Shula retired and began a new career as a poet. She published two books of poetry and was working on a third at the time of her death.
