Rashi Study Group meets most Monday mornings from 7:45a to 8:30a to study Rashi’s commentary on the Torah. Knowledge of English, Hebrew, Judeo-Aramaic and Old French are helpful but not necessary. The Rashi Study Group has met weekly since January 1994. New participants welcome any week. Coffee and tea available before 7:00a service and during and after Rashi Study Group. At Passover 2015, the Group began 2 Samuel. Library copies of text are available, as are copies for purchase. RSG meets in the Rosenkrantz Family Library (the Beit Midrash).
RSG meets every week except on the Major Festivals (Sukkot, Pesah, Shavuot, Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur) or Tisha BeAv; on Federal Holidays, the group meets immediately after the 9:00a morning service (i.e. 9:45a to 10:30a).
Like most services, classes, and program, there is no charge for participation, and all are welcome.
