Artwork produced by over a dozen BEKI visual artists will adorn the synagogue’s gallery walls during this year’s High Holiday season, representing a variety of styles and personal perspectives that reflect the creative depth of the congregation.
Participants include David Chorney’s unique portraiture, Diane Krevolin’s dynamic quilt, Karen Kassup’s mythological images, and Diana Firestone’s multi-media, textural collages.
Mary Lesser is exhibiting two cityscapes and one of her iconic immigrant portraits. Also included in the exhibit are Margaret Olin’s series of haunting tree photographs, Beth Weintraub’s nature-based collages, Cynthia Rubin’s colorful marine-themed prints, and Dan Weintraub’s studied oil paintings. Rounding out the exhibit are Susan Dardik’s eclectic set of pictures, Betsy Ratner’s playful collages, Julie Leviter’s Pop-Art inspired painting, Eve Garrick Zelinsky’s intricate needlepoint and Helen Rosenberg’s self-portrait-in-motion.
